COMIC BOOK ILLUSTRATOR
Goriart
Paul Gori (Goriart) is a freelance comic book illustrator specializing in sequential art and storytelling. He was born in Orlando, Florida, in 1977 and moved to Argentina soon after, only to return to the States at the age of 4. Soon after, he was introduced to the world of comics and animation, which he instantly fell in love with. Paul draws his inspiration from 80s and 90s style anime, manga, Saturday morning cartoons, and other artists he looks up to, such as John Bryne, John Buscema, Adam Warren, Katsuhiro Otomo, and Junji Ito. His current work is traditional, with plans in place to incorporate digital media in the near future. After spending some time on the East Coast, Paul is back in Southern California. With the recent loss of his mother to stage four cancer, Paul promised to make the most of his gift, a natural talent that comes from her side of the family. Paul is reshaping his approach to his art with added drive and gratitude. He is hyper-focused on his career, his goals, and his three boys, who also happen to be his best friends. His driving force is to appeal to audiences of all ages, to continue growing as an artist, and to strive to become a better human being.
